The ex- Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commisssion EFCC along with an oil magnate , Jide Omokore who was re-arrested.

 The duo would be charged on a four count charge of money laundering before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Others that were also involved are: Victor Briggs, Abiye Memnere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited joined as other defendants
