Bobrisky: Delete defamatory video made against Femi Falana, court tells VeryDarkMan

A social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse aka VeryDarkMan has been ordered to delete defamatory videos on human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).

The order was issued by Justice M. O. Dawodu of the Lagos State High Court on Monday in suit no: ID/8584/GCM/2024.

Additionally, the court restrains the critic from making comments about the Falanas.

Dawodu ruled that the publications made by VeryDarkMan on his social media accounts on September 24, 2024, linking Bobrisky to Falz and his father were defamatory and injurious to their public image.

“According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) were false and untrue but proceeded to publish them to injure their reputation.

“Furthermore, the defamatory statements are still trending on the defendant (VeryDarkMan)’s several online platforms and the injury to their reputation continues as long as the publication remains online,” the judge ruled.

Recall that VeryDarkMan, on September 24, 2024, leaked a voice call recording of Bobrisky narrating how singer Falz contacted him during his six-month jail term.

Responding to the allegations, the Falanas filed a letter demanding a retraction of the statements and an apology from VeryDarkMan within 24 hours.
