Bimbo Ademoye expresses joy over Nollywood’s growth
Nigerian actress Bimbo Ademoye has expressed joy over the gradual growth in the country’s film industry, Nollywood.
The movie star noted that the development the industry is experiencing is laudable, adding that filmmakers now shoot films that are standard.
She said, “I am very happy with the changes I’m seeing in Nollywood. People are now taking their time to shoot better-quality content. I’m really impressed with the improvement in Nollywood. I would love to see more. I pray we can have a Tyler Perry-style studio where we can walk in and shoot different projects.”
Ademoye also spoke about the complexities of fame, describing it as both a blessing and a challenge.
“Fame has blessed me, to be honest. I have been able to receive favours from people. Yet, I have managed to stay grounded and not let the fame get into my head. I don’t see myself as a famous person. I don’t even like the word ‘celebrity.’ I prefer being referred to as a ‘public figure.’”
Speaking about her journey as a YouTube filmmaker, Ademoye humbly attributed her success to divine guidance.
