BBNaija: Ilebaye counters Phyna’s claim, confirms she has received her prize money
The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 8, Ilebaye Odiniya, has confirmed that the organisers of the show have paid her prize money.
This revelation counters claims by the Season 7 winner, Phyna Otabor, who knocked the organisers of the show for announcing the commencement of Season 9 when they had not paid her prize money.
Phyna was supposed to receive the sum of N100 million after she won the show in 2022.
On her X handle, she wrote, “New show. Winner of season 7 hasn’t received all her prizes and money. Well, let me mind my business before they will say I’m biting the hand that fed me. It is well.”
However, in a live session with fans, Ilebaye stated that she had been paid N120 million after she won the All-Star edition of the reality show in October last year.
Ilebaye said, “I have received my [BBNaija prize] money. I haven’t even touched tiny part of it. My money haven’t finished. I haven’t touched my prize money. And this is a fact.”
