An artist, Julius Igbinedione, 54, of Jikwoyi Phase III, Abuja, was on Friday arraigned before the Karu Senior Magistrates’ Court for assaulting his landlord’s wife, Mrs Ngozi Okafor.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Pascal Njoku, told the court that Igbinedione on Nov. 14, assaulted and threatened Okafor, of the same address, with a pestle. The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr Christopher Oba, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,000 and a surety in like sum. Oba said that the surety must have a reasonable means of livelihood and a traceable address within the jurisdiction of the court.
He adjourned the case to Nov. 22 for hearing
