Gospel singer turned politician, Kenny Saint Best (KSB), who lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primary ticket of the Ikeja Constituency 1 in Lagos State to Folajomi Mohammed, son of the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lai Mohammed, says defeat is nothing.
KSB stated that she is not sad, but happy that she has been able to convince people that she is capable of representing them. The singer added that she can still get a seat elsewhere.
Speaking about her fellow entertainer, Desmond Elliot, who got the party’s ticket to represent Surulere 01 Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, the singer did not hide her joy for the actor’s victory.
She however pointed out that Desmond Elliot won because he got the backing of party leaders in the state.
“Thank God for the arrangement. It doesn’t make anyone of us a loser. I am happy for him. The leaders that chose him to be there, it is good that he gathered enough crowd in other to get there. The energy and honour of being an entertainer also helped him. I am happy,” KSB told Encomium.
