Angel Unigwe drags Kanayo O. Kanayo to court over contract breach accusation

Nollywood actress, Angel Unigwe, has dragged veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, to court over the allegation of breach of contract levelled against her by the actor.

The development was made known by the mother of the actress, Juliet Kings Unigwe, who posted the information on Angel’s Instagram page.

Juliet described the utterance of the veteran actor as slanderous and false.

She said, “First, for the public record we wish to state categorically that we hold sacred the terms of any contract we enter into and we are fully committed to performing all lawful obligations required of us under such contracts.

“We vehemently deny the false accusations and slanderous statements contained in Mr. Kanayo’s video. We want to assure the public that we have done no such thing and are deeply hurt by these unfounded allegations.”

She further stated that legal action had been taken, as she called on the security agencies to intervene in the matter and guarantee Angel’s safety.

Recall that Kanayo on June 21, 2024, called Angel out on social media, accusing her of not fulfilling a contract signed with him for a production.

Also, he claimed that Unigwe’s mother is known for breaching contracts by prematurely taking her daughter away from sets.

Kanayo further threatened to disrupt any movie production involving Angel.
