Charles Carlson, a 57-year-old American who was on a business trip to Nigeria was allegedly found dead in a hotel in Lekki area of Lagos.
The hotel attendant became worried when a call was put through to his room to invite him for breakfast but did not respond. The Manager of the hotel, Vincent Onwunike was informed of the strange development and he contacted Carlson’s business partner.
When the door to his room was forced open, Carlson was found by the door with a rope tied round his neck.
His body was moved to the mortuary. The Spokesperson to the commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni who confirmed the incident ordered that the case should be move to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
The police is carrying out investigation to know the cause of death.
