United States multi-national technology company, Amazon has acquired Jim Iyke’s movie Bad Comment.
The unprecedented deal would make the project the highest negotiation so far in African movie industry.
Iyke released the movie in August last year. The movie addresses the consequences of cyberbulling.
The project features several stars including Ayo Makun, Sharon Ooja, Yemi Blaq, Patience Ozokwor, Ini Edo, Ruggedman, Chiwetel Agu, Timaya.
The actor revealed that he would be hosting a watch party on May 2 to commemorate the deal.
The event is expected to feature the fans of the actors as well as prominent Nollywood actor.
The actor had earlier stated that he would release the sequel of the movie titled The crusaders. The sequel is said to be in pre- production stages with shooting expected to start in July 2022.
Last year, Iyke was in the news for orchestrating a confrontation with Uche Maduagwu to promote the movie.
The actor stated he adopted the strategy to promote the movie after spending over N20 million without getting the desired result.
“We buried over N20 million in the production of that movie and people were still viewing it with certain degree of cynicism” he stated.
