The president of the Nigeria Football Federation has reacted to reports that Nigerian footballer, Ahmed Musa was arrested for beating up his wife.
Amaju Pinnick, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has refuted reports that Leicester City and Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa allegedly beat up his wife.
Ahmed Musa, was earlier reported to have been arrested by British police for allegedly beating his wife.
Pinnick said Musa denied beating his wife when he contacted him about the incident saying his focus is on helping Nigeria qualify for Russia 2018.
He wrote on his twitter page @PinnickAmaju: “Read about the reports regarding Ahmed Musa and I got in touch with the player. He categorically denies them.
“Ahmed Musa is a family man and a gentleman as well. He says he is fully focused on helping Nigeria qualify for Russia 2018.
