Barely a few weeks after actor Kanayo O. Kanayo was sworn into office as the interim National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), the guild is taking shape, says Prince Ifeanyi Dike.
Dike, who is the guild’s Board of Trustee Chairman, said he is impressed by the leadership qualities of KOK and the steps he has taken so far in restoring the lost glory of AGN.
Dike said: “I can assure you that things have started taking shape. KOK is a man of integrity and the most important thing is that AGN members are passionately behind him because they believe in his ability to take them to the promised land.”
Star actress, Clarion Chukwurah, said it is a new dawn in AGN. She noted that as a veteran who has contributed so much to develop Nollywood, she cannot fold her arms and watch her efforts wasted.
“That is why we must all rise up to the occasion to regain its (AGN) pride. Those of us who have contributed so much right from our secondary school days will not sit on the fence and watch Nollywood go down the drain,” she said.
