It was a heart wrecking situation for a 41 year old man, Charles Manigo who recently discovered his daughter of 18 years wasn’t his.
His former partner Gloria was said to have kidnapped Alexis Kelly Manigo whose original name is Kamiyah Mobley in this hospital shortly after she was born.
Report has it that the accused suffered a miscarriage a week before the kidnapping took place and couldn’t bear to reveal the truth.
Since 1998 till 2003 both Charles Manigo and Gloria have been raising Alexis until they separated and shared custody of the Alexis.
The accused has now been apprehended and Alexis has been reunited with her real parents but she still keep in contact with the man who raised her.
Talking about their last meeting, Charles said: “She was the love of my life.
‘One of the hardest things she said on Friday was, “Dad I love you” even though she knows what’s going on. She’s still my child. I understand what’s going on, but she’s still my child.”
