The call for entry for the 2015 edition of All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has been extended to Friday, July 31, 2015, the organisers have said. This came after appeals from stakeholders in the African music industry.

Rising out of a meeting in Casablanca, Morocco on July 23, the International Committee of AFRIMA arrived at this decision to offer an opportunity for a more inclusive participation for music professionals.

AFRIMA opened the 2015 entry submission on May 18 and earlier fixed July 20 as deadline. During the first open period, there were a deluge of submissions.

The main event is slated for Saturday, November 15, 2015 in Lagos. Prior to the D-day, there would be a two-day AFRIMA Music Village from November 13 -14 and the Africa Music Summit on November 14 in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Stakeholders’ Conference of AFRIMA held in Morocco last week was successful. Top government functionaries and industry greats in the country were met during the meeting.
