AFCON Final: Prophet Yul Edochie Under Fire Over ‘Fake Revelation’

Netizens are demanding the head of Nollywood star, turned pastor, Yul Edochie for reportedly saying a false prophecy concerning the just-concluded finals of the African Cup of Nations.

Prophet Edochie had prophesied that Nigeria would defeat the host country, Ivory Coast to win the tournament.

However, the Super Eagles and other Nigerians were left disappointed after they were trashed 2:1.

Hours before the match, Yul had written, “Today’s game will not get to penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably.”

After the failed prophesies, netizens have knocked the latest prophet over alleged deception.

Reacting, Nollywood Actress Sarah Martins took a swipe at her former bestie’s husband after his prophecy failed.

In her post, Martins noted that Edochie had one opportunity to show to the world that indeed God had called him into ministerial work but he lost the chance.

She wrote, “The moment Pastor Yul prophesied, I knew we were gonna lose.”

A Facebook user, Mabia Chinonso, also wrote, “Well done prophet of their time, u people should keep on disgracing Christianity cuz una time is up.”

“Ezemmuo be dey test his prophetic skills 😁🤣,” were the words of Igwe Lilian Ngozi to Yul.
