The cause of death of gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, also known as Aduke Gold, has finally been made public.
News of the demise of the rising star broke the internet on Monday morning.
Aduke reportedly died at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan with speculations that she lost her life while undergoing fibroid surgery.
Her unexpected death triggered diverse responses on social media as fans and her colleagues in the industry continue to grieve.
However, reacting to the controversies generated by the singer’s shocking death, her brother, Pastor Aderogbo Ajayi said Aduke did not die in the situation painted online.
In a video he made and posted online, Aderogbo warned that people should verify information before spreading rumors, clarifying that Aduke died of cervical cancer according to the death certificate from the hospital.
He said, “Whoever is saying what is not should stop it, our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH in Ibadan and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false.”
