Nigerian singer, Ade Bantu, has called on Nigerians to emulate the spirit of accommodating those with opposing views. He made this plea in response to the harsh treatment being meted out to people with controversial sexuality.

The respected musician said he has friends who are bisexual, g@y and transgender, but claimed he was ignorant of their rights until recently.

He called for equal rights for all Africans.

According to him, “I am Ade Bantu. I believe every individual has the right to choose who they want to love or be with. Like millions, I was ignorant about g@y rights but now I know better.

“I have friends who are lesbi@n, g@y, bisexual, and transgender; they are no different from me. Over the years, I have learnt that it is important to respect other people’s choices in life; be it their politics, religion or sexuality.

“In 2015, we as Africans must recognize that diversity is our reality. It’s is our strength. Support live love Africa project.”
