Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, seems unable to get over the delicious ‘Afang soup’ she ate in Akwa Ibom state, lamenting that her kitchen served her gibberish.
Mercy Aigbe said she tasted Afang soup in Uyo and realized the one her cook prepares for her in Lagos is different in a picture on her Instagram page.
Mercy Aigbe claims her cook has been feeding her garbage and has threatened to cut her pay when she goes home.
Mercy Aigbe wrote: Omo I just had Afang soup in Uyo and realise that the one my cook has been making is ‘Afong’ ha! That woman has been giving me nonsense! I am reducing her salary by the time I get back!!! No one should beg me oh.
It was recalled that Aigbe during a guest appearance on Gbenga Adeyinka’s Instagram Live conversation earlier this week. “Don’t tell anybody o,” Aigbe replied with a big smile when Adeyinka played “African Queen” over the video call. I’ve had a thing for 2baba for a long time.”
The trendy role interpreter also claimed that she liked Liz Benson and Sola Sobowale before entering the profession. “There were two ladies I admired a lot coming into the industry— Liz Benson and Sola Sobowale,” she remarked. Liz Benson was and continues to be stunning. Back then, I was completely enamored with her.
I also loved the way Sola Sobowale interpreted her roles. She inspires me whenever I see her on a movie set.”
“Before I came into the industry, I liked Sola Sobowale because she knows her onions,” Aigbe remarked of her first experience with Sobowale. I got a call one day to come on set for a film called ‘Ohun Oko So Mi Da.’
“Aunty Sola produced the film, and I was shivering when I arrived on set.” ‘Would I be able to act in the presence of my role model?’ I wondered. I knelt in a corner and prayed to God, telling myself, ‘This is my chance.’ Aunty Sola should not be allowed.
