Nollywood actress, Jewel Infinity has sustained some injury after she was assaulted by an army officer in Rivers state.
Jewel who is calling out for justice in her hospital bed said that she boarded a sienna vehicle that was going to Onitsha from Portharcourt when some group of Soldiers told them to pull over.
She said that when they did, one of the soldiers identified as SULAIMAN OLAMILEKAN attacked her , claiming that she was discussing him with the lady beside her. He demanded that she kneels down and apologise to him.
But when she declined his request having done nothing wrong, the soldier began to hit her with a stick while the other soldiers broke her phone to stop her from taking any shot of them.
She stated that after the incident, she could not continue the journey as she went back to Portharcourt straight to the barracks where she reported him to his superior.
In her words,”He was summoned and he confessed that i didn’t do anything to have warranted his cruel action, that he was in a very bad mood. He begged me to forgive him and not take things seriously. Right now i am bedridden.

Please help me reach out to anybody in authority, who can fight this violence. Violence is indeed a cankerworm that has eaten us deep into every fabric of the Nigerian Army Force. Soldiers fight and protect their own, not to destroy the innocent civilians.”
