“I met Charles some years ago and I listened to his music and liked it instantly. Thus I started following his works. I decided to do this particular song because I am a testimony to the lyrics of the song. I wasn’t sure I could do it but he was patient enough to wait till I finally went to the studio to record. and I thank God I did.”
While Charles, she said composed the music, K-Solo produced the album. For her, Charles believed in her talent prompting his insistence to give her a chance to prove her mettle. “He believed in me, and he said the song gives me the chance to tell my story to the world. I chose to do this particular song because I actually feel it inside of me. I live it each day and what better way to tell the world about my new exciting faith in God.”
Ibinabo said, they are planning to do a music video, prior to releasing during this yuletide season.
The actress-turned-preacher gave her life to Christ while she was serving her jail term at Kirikiri Maximum Prison.
A former night club owner, Ibinabo took the bold step after she realised that the promises of Men were nothing but fake.
“I got born again when I was in prison. I discovered that the promises of man is fake. Yes, I’m spreading the word of God at every given opportunity. I visit schools in Port-Harcourt to talk to children about Christ. Each time I’m praying, I always ask God that whenever people see me, let them see the glory of God in me,” she muted in a recent interview.
