A lot of people will remember Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, for her strong acting prowess and her dexterity but some will always appreciate her for the tears she sheds in movies when the need arises.
The actress, who has won several awards to her credit, has been busy with empowering women and children in the society. Many would have thought she has abandoned acting, but she is very vibrant when it comes to her creative job while also doing other things.
In 2015, the actress dished out a quality movie titled ‘Stigma,’ and that won her the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 11th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Hilda Dokubo was born as the first of six children in Buguma, a town in Asari-Toru, Rivers State where she went on to complete her primary and secondary school education at St Mary State School Aggrey Road and Government Girls Secondary School respectively. She is an alumni of the University of Port Harcourt, where she earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Theatre Arts.
Not in a haste to release movies, the actress was recently spotted preaching to a congregation of women on their role in the development of the country as the struggle should not be left for the men alone to handle.
