Actress Halima Abubakar calls for more support for children, people with disabilities
Nollywood Actress, Halima Abubakar, has advocated for more support for children and people living with disabilities in Nigeria and Africa.
Speaking recently, the thespian at a recent by the Halima Abubakar Foundation Appreciation Outreach founded by her, gave the reason for supporting this set of people.
Abubakar, who stressed that helping people in need had become a priority for her said, “The stories of many of the people living with disabilities are quite touching. While some of them were born with disabilities, others are victims of circumstances that could have been avoided. I am glad that most of them are not giving up on their dreams, and it is our responsibility to assist in making it a reality. Indeed, there is ability in disability.
“The Halima Abubakar Foundation outreach is prepared to extend its reach to every region in Nigeria, and other parts of the continent where there are more vulnerable people living with disabilities.”
