Nigerian Nollywood actor Femi Branch has been identified and honored with a chieftaincy title. Femi was honored by the Alaafin of Oyo, Dr. Lamidi Adeyemi III as the Jagun Asa of Edeland.

The actor who must be very proud of this new recognition shared the news on his instagram page.

The title Jagun Asa are from the Yoruba origin, the word Jagun means a warrior or soldier while Asa means bird.

So the title Jagun Asa of Edeland is simply translated as the “Warrior Bird of Edeland” or you can put it as the “War Bird of Edeland”.
