In Nigeria, we sometimes do things very differently, especially by our political leaders.

At the 2010 edition of Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), former Bayelsa State governor, Timipre Silva was sighted on the red carpet with one of his aides carrying a gun identified as bullpup carbined rifle.

The question that bothers minds is this, why come to a red carpet that has international audience with such gun?

If there were security threats on him, why not stay away from the event rather than cause embarrassment to the country?

Is the gun intended for celebrities at the event, who might want to get close to the former governor without the nod to do so? This and many other questions need to be answered. Nigeria! We hail thee.
