The Nigerian movie industry has seen tremendous evolution in the past years with many of its practitioners ensuring that they work on themselves to be the best in the craft.

Looking from the various spheres of the industry, the likes of Mercy Aigbe and Iyabo Ojo, have stood out to be stars who don’t joke with their works as they either produce their movies or on set giving meaning to their various roles.

Both having a large fan base and also having a voice in the English speaking part of the movie industry, many will be left with no choice but wanting to analyze who speaks better English.

With a large fan base, Mercy Aigbe, was born January 1, 1979, in Edo state, and a second child of the family of five. Aside being an actress, she is also a director and businesswoman.

She is best known for her Yoruba language movies. She attended the polytechnic in Ibadan where she had her OND in financial Studies. She then went to the University of Lagos for a degree in theatre arts in 2001, and joined the industry fully in 2006.

For Alice Iyabo Ojo, her versatility is just on point as many would describe her as a gentle actress always filled with smiles. She was born on December 21, 1977 in Lagos. She schooled at National College, Gbagbada in Lagos before she proceeded to study Estate Management at Lagos State Polytechnic.

She commenced her acting career in 1998 after joining the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). She has scripted and featured in several Nigerian films. Ojo’s first role was in 1998’s ‘Satanic,’ an English-language film. In 2002, she made her Yoruba-language debut with ‘Baba Darijinwon.’ In January 2015, her film ‘Silence,’ which features Joseph Benjamin, Alex Usifo, Fathia Balogun, and Doris Simeon, was released.
