Not less than three members of the dreaded One Million Boys gang have been arrested by the Policemen Attached to the Ilemba-Hausa Division, Lagos State.
The suspects are known for their terrible crimes like rape, stealing and inflicting of severe injury on victims. Their operations span through terrorizing Ajangbadi and Shibiri areas at Oto-Awori Local Development Council Area of the state.
The suspects are: 25-year-old Emeka Emwis, 24-year-old Eze Ikasuana, and Kabiru Sadiq, 22, were arrested at the weekend when they attacked motorists and pedestrians plying the Ajangbadi-Shibiri Road.
The state Police Command spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, who confirmed the arrest of the members of the gang said some motorists, who escaped the robbery, alerted police.The command deployed a team of anti-robbery policemen from Ilemba-Hausa Division to the scene and they arrested the suspects.
“Items recovered from the suspects include machetes and locally-made guns they used in dispossessing victims of cash and other valuables.
“The suspects have been transferred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and will be charged to court at the end of investigations,” the spokesperson added.
