An ex- senator who represented Cross River South on the platform of the inoperative National Republican Convention between 1991 and 1992, Senator Patrick Ani, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Ani according to an eyewitness was abducted on Wednesday in n his Herbal farm in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of the state.
An employee who works in the herbal farm farm also confirmed the kidnap of his boss adding that the policemen who came to that farm promised to do all it takes to find Ani.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of Cross River Police Command, ASP Irene Ugbo said that the matter had been reported to the police but she was yet to confirm the incident.
Ani is the brother of a former Minister of Finance, Chief Anthony Ani.
