The suit challenging the authenticity of the West African School Certificate of President Mohammadu Buhari has been struck out by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola who presided the case based his ruling on “Section 50(2) of the Federal High Court civil procedure rules”
The ruling stemmed from the motion that was earlier filed by the originator of the suit, Nnamdi Nwokocha- Ahaaiwe praying the court to discontinue the motion.
It would be recalled that Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe who is an Abuja based lawyer had on June 16, 2016 filed the suit before the Justice Adeniyi Ademola-led court saying Buhari was not qualified to run for President because he lacked the minimum qualification to run for the office.
He allegedly stated that the President did not take the Cambridge WASC in 1961.
Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe’s motion for withdrawal reads in part, “Take note that the plaintiff in this originating summons, Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe, hereby discontinues this action.”
