For some time now, some Nigerians have been angry with the recent move by the Nigerian Senate to purchase about 36 SUV cars for its senators especially during this trying period the country is going through.
Vocal Senator, Ben Murray Bruce has come out to state that he is not interested in the car except it is a made in Nigeria car.
In his words, “For the avoidance of doubt, I did not and will not accept any SUV. The only SUV I, Ben Murray-Bruce will accept is a made in Nigeria car.”
He was called out by a concerned Nigerian who questioned his whereabout when the Senate made the announcement but he bragged that he has made his constituent proud rather than join others to eat the same food.
According to the concerned Nigerian, “But where were you when they are making the request for the 36 SUV cars or are you no more vibrant in the house anymore.”
Ben who feels the question shouldn’t have been directed to him replied, “Shouldn’t the question be where was YOUR senator? I made my constituents proud by my decision. What did yours do? My advise to you: Identify and put pressure on the Senator representing you. You make him lazy by focusing on me!”
