CHANGE, they say, is the only constant thing in life and towards that direction is popular entertainment writer, Tony Ogaga Erhariefe is heading as he concludes plans to release his debut album come next year.
Ogaga as he is referred to, in an exclusive chat with Trend’tainment recently, revealed that he is concluding plans to show artistes in the industry what contemporary music is all about.
“I have been reporting music, now I want to perform music and this is no joke,” he said.
Not new to a beat he has reported close to six years, Ogaga said that he has been there and knows the fundamentals of producing good tracks that will turn his fans crazy and revive the Afro beat genre of music which to a great extent has lost some salt since the demise of one of Africa’s music legends, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
“I am not new to the game, I released my first single, Bandits in Uniform and it was hot like hell with a video that was creative as well as poised to effect a change in the society which is what I want to achieve,” the Linguistic graduate from the University of Benin said.
With motivational tracks like Giant In You where he featured Ruffman, Shakara, featuring Razor, Bandits in Uniform Remix, Time to Party and other tracks, Ogaga said his style of Afro-music which is original, creative, motivational and inspiring will be released before the second quarter of 2009.
“I have been doing my research and working consistently in the studio these past years and be sure to get on the dance floor and dance to the tunes you have been craving to hear for so long,” he said.
Asked if he was not afraid of the criticisms that will be lying in wait for his debut, He smiled with an attitude of confidence, “I have been analysing songs for years and I know the intrigues. I am looking forward to the criticisms, I no dey shake,” he finished.
