In a Telephone chat with Nigeriafilms.com, the movie producer, Chigozie Atuanya shed more lights on the major reason they are taking the movie down to the East for its first Premiere.

‘’ Well, as you know Chetanna is a contemporary Igbo movie, so we decided to bring it down to our people in Awka, Anambra State, so they can be the first to watch the full film. Besides, it is like making history, nothing of such has ever happened in that State, so we want to cease the opportunity to bring more fun and excitement to our people at home. I’m a true son of the soil and always have my people at heart.

At the moment all hands are on deck to see that the movie premiere is a grand success. It’s not easy doing a big budget movie and as well premiering it home and abroad. Other movie lovers in different states close-to Anambra should come and have a feel of their own,” the Thespian told Nigeriafilms.com.

The proud father of one also revealed plans to premiere the movie in other parts of the country in 2016.

‘’ Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Aba and other major cities in Nigeria should get ready for us because Chetanna crew would be coming their way quite soon,’ he added.

Chetanna had successfully premiered in Virginia and Houston, America which makes it the first Igbo film to be premiered in US.

It has as well won two prestigious awards; Council of Igbo States in America Awards (CISA) and GIMA respectively as the best indigenous film in 2014.
