Veteran Nollywood actress, Ajoke Silva and husband, Olu Jacobs, is one lover that many want to emulate at all times for having struggled together without washing their dirty linen in the public.

The duo who have been married for decades have been the toasts of many and recently, Joke Silva, explained that for there to be a good and sustainable marriage, “it means friendship, loving, fighting, Laughing, worrying, togetherness.”

Mummy J as she is fondly called explained that most people or families are always on the case of their female child especially once they are 30 or are through with University which shouldn’t be.

Speaking about societal pressure on female child getting married on time she said, “Really it’s some women’s reality! Once you hit the age of 30 or finished university, people are on your case.”

She also noted that being pressured into the wrong relationship is never healthy as the end result is always bad. “You get pushed into the wrong relationship. Bottom line pressure not good.”

Adding that, “the pressure from society is enormous but if a woman has that sense of affirmation her life is just as fulfilled.”
