Come Saturday, October 3, 2015, Kehinde Oshadipe of the Oshadipe Twins will lead other celebrities in a walk to create awareness for a deadly disease called Lupus, which claimed the life of her twin sister, Taiwo Oshadipe in 2014.
Kehinde, in an exclusive interview with Nigeriafilms.com on Monday, explained that she decided to mark the one year remembrance of her sister’s death by raising an awareness for the disease, which presently has no cure.
She told Nigeriafilms.com that other celebrities to be expected on that day include Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Nikki Laoye and many others.
“Not until Taiwo had Lupus, we have never heard of anything like that before. When we were told at the hospital that she had Lupus, we thought she would be fine until the disease took her life.
“I just took it upon myself to create awareness for this disease because if it can kill Taiwo, it can as well kill any other person. While at the hospital, I came across others suffering from the disease. To do a test for the disease alone costs over N200,000, without drugs to manage it and the treatment.
