Organisers of the annual Classic Africa Merit Award (CAMA) have fixed Sunday, September 13, 2015, for the 2015 edition, which is its fifth.

To grace the occasion are the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, who is the Special Guest of Honour to give Keynote address on ‘Winning War Against Insurgency in Contemporary African Society: The Anambra Example’.

Chairman of Etoks Communications, Deacon Iyke Kanu will Chair, while other personalities are also expected to be at the event.

CAMA is an opportunity to both thank citizens of Nigeria and Africa for their contributions and to reinforce the behaviours and actions for which the award is presented.

It is a brain child of The Classic International Magazine in the calendar of the Africa community to honor real drivers of the African society in various fields of endeavour.

CAMA is managed in partnership with high ranking Brands/Print and Electronic mediums who have continued to serve as a reminder of the power to celebrate a form that is proven ever more versatile in the twenty first century.

The genre is enjoyed not just on the page, on air and increasingly on every sort of screen, but also in flash fiction events, short story festivals and slams.

The event story has moved beyond the revival of recent years and is now experiencing a golden age.

According to the President of CAMA and publisher of Classic Magazine, Mr Dave Agwazim, CAMA 2015 will chat a new course in appreciation of excellence and will remain the yardstick to measure excellence in service in a very long time to come.

CAMA 2014 had the likes of Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, the first executive governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, the Chief Servant, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Titi Amina Atiku, Chief Alex Akinyele, former Minister of Communications, etc.
