According to reports, a veteran Nollywood producer, Pa Francis Oladele, who was one of the pioneers of the Nigerian film industry, will be buried as soon as his family announces his funeral arrangements.

Pa Oladele, a former newspaper columnist, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, in his hometown in Oyo State.

Oladele also worked as a photo-journalist with Daily Times of Nigeria and was popular for his column ‘Social Diary.’

Baba Oladele, as he was fondly called, was aged 82 and produced the first indigenous film in Nigeria, a screen adaptation of Prof. Wole Soyinka‘s play titled ‘Kongi’s Harvest’ in 1969.
