The long arm of the law has finally caught up with a kidnap suspect named Uzoma Ugwumadu, when he disguised as a woman to allegedly abduct some primary school pupils from Osusu Amukwa Community Primary School in Aba, Abia State.
While on parading the crime suspects, the state Commissioner of Police, Joshak Habila, said other members of the syndicate were still at large.
He narrated that the suspect had disguised himself as a lady wearing blouse and a breast-like foam and led four school children away when he was intercepted by members of the village’s vigilante group.
Continuing, the state police boss said other members of the syndicate, who were in a waiting bus with strange registration number, parked along New Umuahia Road Aba, zoomed off in their vehicle immediately the group and teachers raised an alarm.
Refuting the allegations against him, Uzoma claimed that he was only trying to assist the pupils when he was arrested.
He also explained that his enemies, who were jealous of his progress, were behind his ordeals, expressing confidence that God would fight his cause.
