Nigeria will be witnessing something grand coming from the dynasty of the late legendry Fela Anikulapo-Kuti as both of his sons, Femi and Seun, will be leading acts at a joint concert.
At the 50th birthday celebrations of Femi Kuti which was held at the Afrikan Shrine, both sons of the icon joked and bantered together on the rare opportunity as they have been reported to not see eye-to-eye on certain issues.
Both artistes are performing for the first time together on the same stage of ‘2 Kings Concert Live’ on Friday, April 24th April at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
The event will also be the occasion for the third album launch of the younger brother, Seun, who has kept up the performance of his father’s band, Egypt 80. The Egypt 80 band has been reported has one of the longest performing band in the world.
Femi kuti has been nominated twice for the world’s music most prestigious awards, The Grammys with his band, Positive Force. He is also an ambassador of a global human right organisation.
The concert is expected to be a phenomenal success.
