Presidential Nollywood ally, Oronto Douglas was announced dead on the morning of Thursday, 9th and many hearts were broken at the news within the country. One of such hearts is Nollywood actor-producer, Omoni Oboli.

Omoni Oboli, who was a friend to the deceased said that her tears will not just stop rolling as he loved and supported Nollywood. Omoni Oboli had enjoyed the partnership with late Oronto in the presidential screening of her movie, ‘Being Mrs Elliot’.

She cried, “Adieu dear friend! The tears will not stop! I will miss you, Oronto Douglas! Nollywood Patron and friend. May you rest in the bosom of our lord and may your family be comforted. May they never know lack. Sleep well!”

Rita Dominic said she had hoped that the death of the entertainment supported was a lie, “When I heard this sad news early hours of this morning, I secretly prayed and hoped it was a lie but no, he is actually gone. He was kind, a big brother, uncle, friend, gracious, jovial, friendly, humble and a good friend to the entertainment industry. May God rest your soul, oga Oronto Douglas till we meet to part no more. Heaven could not wait for you. God knows best. Rest in peace.”

TY Bello said, “Goodnight ‘OND’. You were a good man . R in peace, Oronto Douglas.”

Television personality, Adure Achumba stated, “Sad over news Oronto Douglas died. Very few non-related folks I chose to call ‘Uncle’ & not ‘MR’. He was one of them. RIP ‘Uncle Oronto’.”
