Sekem crooner, MC Galaxy has revealed that he once danced for as low as N800 at gigs organised by famous artistes in the bid to fend for himself during the days before he rose to prominence. He said those days were the days he struggled to make ends meet.
Speaking in a interview recently, he opened up that he had been involved from the onset in showbiz dancing, singing and doing stand-up comedy. He had combined the various talents at his disposal to be the person he is today.
He said, “I have done comedy (and received) N2,000, N1,000. Most times, if I do not perform on the day, I will not have transport fares to return home with.”
“Before then 2010, I danced for Patoranking…his first video. I danced for Patoranking, N1500. If you calculate all the money he has given me, it will amount up to N2,800. I danced in Kukere for N7,000. I later danced for Davido, and won N500k,” he told Notjustok.com
He said Klint The Drunk was the first comedian who helped him on his success route by taking him out for his first international show.
He recently launched his own record company which simultaneously was the occasion for his house warming celebrations. He said, “So now you have seen us making it today, do not hate. We have suffered. We did not come out and blew. We did not come out and began to receive N3 million and N2.5 million. No, we suffered.”
