The Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, was filled to capacity on Sunday, March 15, 2015 with Nigerian stars from the different sections of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
They were gathered in an interactive session with President Goodluck Jonathan on his plans for the showbiz industry if re-elected into office on March 28, 2015, a day set aside for the presidential election in the country.
The event, tagged ‘The Showbiz Interactive with GEJ’, and the opening prayer said by Liz Benson Ameye, was anchored by Richard Mofe-Damijo, well known as RMD, and had various performances from top entertainers in the country like King Sunny Ade, Victor Uwaifo, Timi Dakolo, Ras Kimono, Oritz Wiliki, Righteousman, amongst many others.
Some of those at the event were Chika Okpala (Zebrudaya), Sammy Okposo, Segun Arinze, Ibinanbo Fiberesima, AY, Yinka Davies, Charles Novia, Hilda Dokubo, Ini Edo, Monalisa Chinda, Yul Edochie, Aneka Twins, Ejike Asiegbu, Bovi, Eucharia Anunobi, and several others.
The President was accompanied to the event by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu; Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom State, Musiliu Obanikoro, Peter Obi, Gbenga Daniel and some other political bigwigs in the country, especially in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
