As the election gradually heats up in Nigeria, the month of February will see the emergence of a continuing president in power or a change in the presidential name. The entire world awaits who wears the title as international election observers have taken a keen interest too.
The Vice President candidate of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri have taken Twitter by the bull’s horns to register their drive and desire concerning the elections.
Reno Omokri had posted a picture of the crowd at APC’s Kano rally which he dubbed a fake crowd photo after a popular international evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke.
Reno Omokri ?@renoomokri: This is not @ReinhardBonnke crowd photo (apologies to @ProfOsinbajo). This is a real crowd in Kano for GEJ #GEJisit? pic.twitter.com/BGeeJJPWC4
Prof Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOSinbajo: @renoomokri Going to Kano after we just left, Mr. Omokri? Good to see the PDP & Mr. President follow progress for a #Change. 🙂
Reno Omokri @renoomokri: @ProfOsinbajo You are welcome Prof. I hope you remembered to pay @ReinhardBonnke copyright royalties for ‘borrowing’ his picture? #GEJisit?
Some reactions have been recorded since the banter as below:
Colin Udoh ?@ColinUdoh Nice bit of banter there from @ProfOsinbajo to @renoomokri. That’s the spirit
Mother of Twins ?@ivyfort: @renoomokri @ProfOsinbajo @ReinhardBonnke At least Prof did not rent his crowd! It was genuine love! Reno! You have failed!
