Encomium has continued to pour in for veteran Nigerian singer, Adesola Adesimbo Idowu aka Weird MC, who was recently awarded with the 2014 Diamond Special Recognition Award.
Weird MC, according to the organisers of the event, Bustline Media International, said the female rapper truly deserved it as she could be rewarded again and again if needs be.
The likes of Patoranking and Doris Simeon have sent in congratulatory messages to the rapper, songwriter and producer.
Recently, the Ogun State-born artiste has been seen at various political rally especially that of the Ekiti State, but has not declared any intentions of delving into the game of politics yet. The rapper is one of Africa’s token number of female rap artistes, and one of the few Nigerian women associated with Afrobeat.
