Yesterday, Sunday, June 29, 2014, the Silverbird Cinemas in Ikeja was besieged by some movie stars who trooped out to support one of their own.
It was the premiere of ‘Somewhere Down the Line’ which was produced by Tamara Eteimo. Many friends of the pretty actress showed her love with their presence at the event, which turned out to be largely successful.
Amongst the celebrities who graced the occasion include Mary Lazarus, Doris Simeon, Wale Adebayo, and Kunle Afolayan. The flick, Tamara’s first, featured top acts like Rachel Oniga, Mary Lazarus, Bukky Wright, Yemi Blaq, Tamara Eteimo and others.
Tamara told Nigeriafilms.com that she has featured in many Nollywood movies and thought it was the right time for him to produce her own movie, adding that she just had to do something different from the norm in Nollywood. According to her, the film “tells the story of a couple, Tolu and Goke who, eight years into their marriage, remained childless. They choose the path of IVF, but it led them down an emotional destination, causing more sorrow than joy. The couple later agreed on surrogacy but it also turned out that Grace, the surrogate, becomes emotionally attached ‘Somewhere Down the Line’ and does not want to part with the foetus in her womb.”
Wale Adebayo, also speaking with Nigeriafilms.com, said he decided to support Tamara because she has grown in the industry. He said the actress has surprised people with this bold step of producing her first movie, which he commends.
