Few hours ago, wanted Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, released a video of the Chibok girls abducted by his members some weeks ago in Borno. The latest visual may have been released by the terrorist group to put to rest speculations that the kidnap was not real.
Abubakar Shekau has demanded that some members of his group held in captive by the Nigerian government be released in exchange of the girls.
In the new video released on Monday, about 100 girls believed to be part of the 234 school girls, kidnapped in Chibok, Borno State, on April 14, were seen reciting the Koran.
Shekau disclosed that the girls had been converted to Islam, and would be held until all imprisoned militants had been freed.
In the 17-minute video, obtained by French news agency AFP, three of the girls were shown speaking while all the girls are wearing the full-length hijab.
Two girls said they were formerly Christians, but have now been converted to Islam. The girls appeared calm in the vidoe and one of them said that they had not been harmed by the terrorists.
