Some people have always said that when elections draw closer, politicians in Nigeria get nearer to the masses, but after getting what they want from the people, they escape into the thin air and then create a wide gap between them and the people they once begged for votes.
Many will not forget easily how Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State allowed residents of the state to spend a night at the Government House after he was inaugurated in 2014.
Over the weekend, the wives of the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) and his running mate, Aisha Buhari and Dolapo Osinbajo, were spotted in Abuja buying peppered and roasted meat popularly known as ‘suya’ in Nigeria.
Buhari’s wife, Aisha, also stopped by at a bean cake seller, ‘akara’, in the capital city. She helped the seller in making the local delicacy.
