Weird MC’s ‘Ijoya’ can definitely be referred to as a classic record as the song re-introduced the veteran femcee back into the Nigerian industry after a prolonged absence. The singer, back then, launched her straight to the top.

Riding on the back of a groovy talking drum-infused beat, the song still had people rocking on dance floors across the country.

Weird MC recently shared a picture she took in London at the monument erected in memory of Africans and Indians in the UK. The said photograph showed her posing with legendary Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu.

She described Onwenu as ‘My teacher, my inspiration, mama mi toh baddd. Madddd respect. Thanks for opening doors.’
