Ex-soccer star, Austin Jay Jay Okocha is one man who believes that pleasure is good. He believes that it is the beginning of every choice and every aversion; and it is the absence of pain in the body and of troubles in the soul.
And that he portrayed last weekend, when he visited the popular Ibari Ogwa Village, the eastern heartland of Owerri.
The former Super Eagles’ skipper who visited the place with his elegant wife, Nkechi, also made known that the upscale bar having carved a niche for itself in the entertainment industry outward his interest to visit it on a surprised and unscheduled pleasure stay.
Felicitously, the Chief Executive Officer of Ibari Ogwa Village, Mr. Chukwudi Ofoha lavishly feted his customers, as he also showered encomium on the Ex-soccer star, saying he produced many spectacular displays on the pitch while playing as a footballer.
Okocha, however, who began playing football on the street just like many other football stars, usually with a makeshift ball, admitted that as a freshman in the hospitality business, he believes more experiences should be acquired from Mr. Ofoha who he described as a successful businessman.
The prime owner of Club 10 that is situated on Saka Tinubu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, and former soccer star who’s known for his step-over on pitch, Okocha wondered how a man in a small city like Owerri could set up a bar that is today known as an African brand.
