It’s festive season, the celebration of the birth of Christ by his followers. This season is believed to be season of love. God, over 2000 years ago, out of His love for mankind, gave His only son, according to Christian faith, to die for the sins of the world. His birthday has become a significant date for all Christians and even other believers to observe.
In the light of this, Alonge Michael, made some efforts to ask some artistes, within and outside the shores of the land, how they are going to spend their Xmas and the New Year.
Below are what a few of the artistes who responded to our calls said, enjoy your reading:

Christmas for me is a time to share love. I am looking forward to spending some time with my family and loved ones and to share some goodies of Xmas and the joy of Christ the king among the less privileged.

This Xmas is a different one for me from all the other ones for many reasons. (1)God has been very good to me in so many ways and His blessings on me and my family is also numerous too. (2) I thank God for the gift of life to me and my family too. (3) I am a happily married woman now. (4) God has blessed our union with a beautiful baby too… So I intend sharing the Love of God with the needy during Xmas in appreciation of His love for us.

Yvonne Nelson-Ghana Actress
I’m spending it with the less privileged people to make them have this sense of belonging. They are part of the society, so, they should be carried along. Though, I might be engaged in one way or the other, notwithstanding, showing love will be the ultimate that day!
Chika Ike-Nollywood Actress
I’ll be off for vacation in Dubai and America to celebrate that special day. Of course, I’m gonna miss home a lot but I’ve worked so hard this year. I need to use the Xmas period to relax.
Benita Okojie-Artiste
I have a number of engagements this season so, how I want to spend the holiday is not exactly how I will eventually. I have a stage play coming up on Christmas day and I’m still at rehearsals. I’ve got the Inspiration FM’ Praise Jam to attend to, I have to be at Church to celebrate Jesus, the reason for the season and a number of really pending projects, but I can assure that the motherless, less privileged will be in my heart and prayers! But you see, that family time is one I cannot miss totally. And I suggest you do something like that with your family. Thank me in 2013! Happy holidays! GOD bless!!!
SYM19-Hip Hop Artiste

Will be busy throughout with my shows here and there. But will find a little time to spend with my family in between. This is our season you know!
Theodora Ibekwe-Nollywood Actress, UK.
Christmas day is a day I set aside with my family members, eating the food we love to cook, an evening with few friends coming and sharing dinner and of course mark my birthday as I was born in the season of Christmas.
Shirley Aghotse- Ex-Beauty Queen
Jesus is the reason for the season, so would be in church to celebrate our merciful saviour for His limitless love, attend a friend’s birthday party, then spend time with my family not forgetting the disadvantaged kids, I’m currently passionate about Save the Children Charity Organisation…
ELDER O (COMEDIAN)
As usual, we work during festive period. So, our own celebration comes after the festivities but I am definitely going to visit few less privileged homes and make out time to be with my family and loved ones.
MIKE NLIAM (PRODUCER)
I hope to spend this Christmas at home here in Lagos with my family. I’m going to have a lot of rest, as well as do a lot of forward thinking for next year.
DAVINA ACHEMA (MUSICIAN)
This Christmas is a special one for me. I have a lot to be thankful for, especially for life and good health. I will be spending Christmas with my fellow Pinkies Foundation members. Take for example, actress Iyabo Ojo’s birthday and my fiancé Eric Nwadinobi’s birthday which happens to be on December 21st will be massive. I will also be celebrating with Yemisi on the 29th of December and I will be travelling in between as well.
QUEEN BLESSING (ACTRESS)
I would be very quiet and peaceful with my loved ones. I would also keep thanking God for his love and mercy in our lives.
BENJY D JOKE (COMEDIAN)
My friends and family want me to come to Delta State but I will not because I have lots of events to attend, therefore I will spend the Christmas here in Lagos.
MAKATI (COMEDIAN)
I will spend the Christmas here in Lagos with my friends and family, because I think Lagos will contain lots of groove.
AMAKA ANIOJI (ACTRESS)
First of all, it reminds me of the birth of Christ who is an important part of my life. It then reminds me of that moment of relaxation and excess feeding on delicacies. I can’t wait for my mum’s stew and soup. A moment of family fun fair is needed this time. As for how I am celebrating? The whole of my family are going to be at our family house for the family re-union and Barbecue Bash. I won’t miss it for anything.
IYABO OJO (ACTRESS)
It’s my birthday and I can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family. My kids are of great importance this season. I also want to spend more time with them and take them to places I have not had time to take them to during the year. I would also be visiting some families and make out time for my fans. It will definitely be a lovely Christmas.
SOUND SULTAN (MUSICIAN)
This is our time to do business and make some more money. So, I would be doing a lot of shows this season. It is also a time to strategise on how to make 2013 a better year. I am grateful to God for making the year a great one for me and my family.
