Controversial man of God, Prophet Temitope Babatunde Joshua popularly known as TB Joshua may have landed himself into a fresh trouble with Ghanaian and ex-Birmingham City shot-stopper, Richard Kingston over an alleged confession by the footballer’s wife, Adelaide Tawaih Kingston that she was a witch.
It is always said that ‘whatever God has joined together, let no man put asunder’. This may be what Richard Kingston is trying to avoid in his marriage by coming out to defend his pretty wife.
Few days ago, during a satellite broadcast of TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Ikotun, Lagos church service, Adelaide purportedly confessed that she was a witch. She also purportedly revealed that she was the cause of her husband’s nose-diving footballing career. The broadcast further purportedly showed that Adelaide allegedly confessed to be the cause of Richard’s impotence.
She was quoted to have allegedly said, “I messed up Richard’s life ever since we got married (2010). I used my evil powers to trouble his career. I’ve been working on him spiritually, to the point he could not perform in bed.”
Soon after the controversial broadcast, Adelaide was reported to have gotten harsh criticism back home in Ghana. She later reportedly claimed that she was hypnotised and was never aware of when such things were said by her.
In defence of his wife about the whole issue, 34 years old Richard took to Facebook to deny claims that his wife was responsible for his dwindling footballing career and that she made him impotent. The former Wigan and Blackpool goalkeeper wrote on his Facebook wall, “My wife is not a witch.”
In the first week of September 2012, it was reported that Adelaide was at TB Joshua’s church where she allegedly confessed being a witch. Last week Sunday, September 9, 2012, we gathered that Richard stormed TB Joshua’s SCOAN to express his displeasure at the witch-tag placed on his wife after the global broadcast of the ‘controversial’ service his wife purportedly confessed being a witch.
This latest development has put the controversial man of God in the spotlight again. This is not the first time TB Joshua is getting into trouble with Ghanaians. Recall that soon after the death of Ghana’s former President, Prof. Attah Mills, few months ago, he came under heavy criticism over his prophecies.
Richard has since leaving Blackpool in 2010 been on the low key career-wise. He recently revealed that he refused a tempting £190,000 bribe from Czech Republic, which was aimed at him allowing to make his country lose their match against Czech Republic at the 2006 FIFA World Cup group game.
