She is cute. Yvonne studied and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon. She later went to the Universite’ De Nantes in France, where she studied French Civilisation and Culture as well as Drama and Marketing.
Born in Ghana by a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother as Chinyere Okereke Okoro. This higly detrabilised actress who is one of the actresses reign supreme in Ghana today has confessed that there is healthy competition in Ghollywood.
Responding to questions on the stiff competition in Ghana film industry recently, the sultry actress said “There is nothing like that. We are all friends and colleagues in the showbiz industry. Yes, I know that there is healthy competition among all of us. But it is not to the point of fighting ourselves.”
For those who don’t know, Yvonne is an Igbo lady by birth and inclination, her dad from Abia State relocated to Ghana where he met her mother who is from Enyan Abaasa in the Central Region of Ghana.
“I’m from a polygamous home, first child of my mother, and the fifth born in a family of ten children. .My dad knows how to handle his family affairs maturely. In my family, there is no animosity or exhibition of hatred amongst my siblings.
For instance, each time, I’m attending the yearly AMAA awards, I’m usually accompanied by my half-brother. That’s to tell you how close we are in my family. Love and unity thrive strongly in my family.” She said
On love life she has this to say ”
At the moment, I’m happy with my work. I hate to discuss my private life on the pages of newspapers. I’m always happy whether I’m in a relationship or not. I’m happy the way I am.”
