The Cannes Film Festival Accreditation Board have invited 15 Ghanaian Movie Stars to the festival penned for the 16-27 May 2012.
This invitation was the result of negotiations between the Ghana Movie Awards office and the accreditation board of the festival to allow Ghanaian movie stars walk on the Red Carpet in France for the second time.
The names of the respective Ghanaian movie stars are as follows:
1.Rose Mensah , aka Kyeiwaa..
2.Yvonne Nelson.
3.Van Vicker.
4.Prince Dave Osei.
5.Martha Ankomah.
6.Yvonne Okoro.
7.Nadia Buari.
8.Vivian Jill.
9.John Dumelo.
10.Majid Michel.
11.Juliet Ibrahim.
12.Joyclyn Dumas.
13.Fred Nuamah.
14.Roselyn Ngissah.
15.Jackie Appiah.
In addition, 4 Ghanaian Pressmen have also confirmed their participation after being accredited by the Press Accreditation Board of the festival to accompany the movie stars to France.They are,

Some of the stars have already walked the Red carpet during the opening ceremony. The others will leave the shores of Ghana by Saturday 19th May 2012,aboard Lufthansa to the Cannes Film Festival in France to witness the event.
This initiative by the organizers of the Ghana Movie Awards is to sell the Ghanaian Movie Industry beyond the borders of West Africa and to motivate the Ghanaian movie industry to achieve greater laurels.
